FOR OWNERS

CAN I LET MY CARAVAN PRIVATELY ON MY PARK?

Most big park groups run their own letting schemes, and take a share. Many also let owners find their own guests. Here is what each publishes, as at 25 October 2026.

Under the National Caravan Council's guidance for licence agreements made from 1 May 2023, the park must tell you before you buy whether you can let your home, through its scheme or privately, and your licence agreement confirms it. A park bringing in a new requirement to let through it, where there was none, would go against that guidance. Your licence agreement is what counts: read it, and if in doubt ask the park in writing before you take a booking.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK

Can my park make me use its letting scheme?

Your licence agreement sets out whether and how you can let. Under the NCC guidance for agreements from May 2023, a park should not add a new requirement to let through it where there was none.

Do private guests get park passes?

It depends on the park. Some sell passes to private guests, often at a different price from their own guests. Check with your park.
