FOR OWNERS
CAN I LET MY CARAVAN PRIVATELY ON A PARKDEAN RESORTS PARK?
Yes, where your park permits it. Parkdean says owners can let privately as well as through its own scheme. Its park rules allow private letting only where permitted, as a sideline, with the home used mainly for your own holidays.
PRIVATE LETTING
- Allowed "where permitted", as a sideline, with the home mainly for your own holidays (Park Rules, rule 22).
- Parkdean does not publish which parks allow it, or its rules and charges for private guests' passes. Ask your park in writing.
PARKDEAN RESORTS'S OWN LETTING SCHEME
Parkdean's scheme is Your Lets. On Your Lets Standard the owner gets 67% of the holiday price and Parkdean keeps 33%; on Your Lets Plus the owner gets 64% and Parkdean keeps 36%, with extras. Your Lets Fixed pays agreed weekly rates. The home must be 12 years old or less, and if anyone else uses the home on a date Parkdean has booked, the owner is charged the full booking.
YOUR LICENCE AGREEMENT DECIDES
Under the National Caravan Council's guidance for licence agreements made from 1 May 2023, the park must tell you before you buy whether you can let your home, through its scheme or privately, and your licence agreement confirms it. A park bringing in a new requirement to let through it, where there was none, would go against that guidance. Your licence agreement is what counts: read it, and if in doubt ask the park in writing before you take a booking.
