CAN BUTLIN'S OWNERS RENT OUT THEIR CARAVAN?
Yes, at Skegness. Ask at Minehead. Butlin's says owners at its Skegness Caravan Village may sublet their caravan themselves, on its terms and conditions, as well as through its own letting service. It does not say the same for Minehead, so ask the Minehead team.
PRIVATE LETTING
- Allowed: Butlin's says you may sublet your caravan yourself, subject to its terms and conditions. Ask the Caravan Village team for them before you take a booking.
- Guests may not stay more than 28 days in a row, and only the guests named on the booking may stay (Minehead guest terms).
- Pets need permission from both the owner and Butlin's.
- The Skegness Caravan Village is open from 1 March to 30 November.
BUTLIN'S'S OWN LETTING SCHEME
Butlin's runs a Sublet Service that handles bookings, cleaning, linen, payments and queries, and a Guaranteed Letting Scheme to offset site fees, both only at Butlin's Skegness Caravan Village. It does not publish its rates.
YOUR LICENCE AGREEMENT DECIDES
Under the National Caravan Council's guidance for licence agreements made from 1 May 2023, the park must tell you before you buy whether you can let your home, through its scheme or privately, and your licence agreement confirms it. A park bringing in a new requirement to let through it, where there was none, would go against that guidance. Your licence agreement is what counts: read it, and if in doubt ask the park in writing before you take a booking.

Can I let my Butlin's caravan through Static Stays?
Yes, at Skegness. Ask at Minehead. If your licence agreement allows private letting, you can list it on Static Stays for £79 a year with no commission. Follow your park's rules on registering guests and passes.
