  2. Weekly prices from £180. Dog-friendly homes in Wales run from £180 to £850 a week, depending on the season.
  3. Dogs on the beach in Kinmel Bay. Conwy's rules: on Kinmel Bay beach, from 1 May to 30 September dogs must be on a lead between the St Asaph Avenue car park entrance and the first promenade entrance near Woodside Avenue; from 1 October to 30 April dogs can go anywhere on the beach. In the Kinmel Dunes, dogs must be on a lead at all times, and there is a dog exclusion zone on the west of the reserve. Check the council's map or beach signs for the rest of the beach in summer.
  4. Dogs on the beach in Prestatyn. Denbighshire's rules: from 1 May to 30 September dogs are only allowed in the designated dog exercise areas, which in Prestatyn are the stretch running east from Rhyl to Ffrith Festival Gardens (Groyne 9) and Barkby Beach east of the Sailing Club. From 1 October to 30 April dogs can go anywhere on the beach. No Prestatyn beach is wholly unrestricted all year; follow the beach signs and maps.
  5. Dogs on the beach in Towyn. Conwy Council's beach dog pages set no separate zone for Towyn beach itself, so check signs locally. Next door, Kinmel Bay requires dogs on a lead between St Asaph Avenue car park and Woodside Avenue from 1 May to 30 September, and Pensarn bans dogs between the low water mark and the promenade over the same dates. From 1 October to 30 April dogs can go anywhere on both.
  6. Dogs on Brynowen Holiday Park. Dog-friendly accommodation is available.
  7. Dogs on Croft Country Park. Dogs are welcome in dog-friendly accommodation and should be booked with the stay.
  8. Dogs on Golden Sands Holiday Park. Dog friendly, with up to two dogs per booking.
  9. Dogs on Hafan y Môr Holiday Park. Dogs are welcome, with a dog-friendly beach, a Bark Yard obstacle course and designated areas in the Coast House, Pizza Deck and HMS Glendower pub.
  10. Dogs on Lyons Oakfield Holiday Park. Dog friendly; Lyons says all its parks are pet friendly.
  11. Check with the owner. Each owner decides whether dogs can stay and how many, and some charge for them. Ask before you book.
