WHAT YOU GET FOR THE FEE

The big sites bring a lot of guests, take the payment and deal with some of the admin. That has a value, and for some owners it is worth the share. Static Stays is a listing site: guests contact you and pay you, and you handle the booking yourself, the way private owners always have. Many owners use both.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK

Does Airbnb still charge guests a service fee?

For most UK listings, no. Airbnb moved UK hosts to a single host-only fee of 15.5% in 2026, so the fee comes out of the price the guest pays.

What does Booking.com charge for holiday homes?

Booking.com does not publish one rate for everyone. UK hosts are commonly reported to pay 15% to 18% per booking. Check your own partner account.

Can I list on Static Stays and Airbnb at the same time?

Yes, unless a contract says otherwise. Keep both diaries up to date so a week is never booked twice.
